根據紐西蘭媒體NZ Herald最新消息，紐西蘭北島豪克斯灣（Hawke's Bay）當地下午6時16分發生規模5.4地震，震源深度26公里。Geonet數據顯示，這起地震震央位在豪克斯灣最北端城鎮懷羅阿（Wairoa）以東約30公里。當地居民指出，這起地震至少持續搖晃30秒至40秒。
